For the first time, the HR Development Bureau of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta Holds an Innovation Grant Program for Education Personnel in 2021/2022.
In the Terms of Reference for Activities (KAK) the Education Personnel Innovation Grant Program for 2021/2022 states that industrial development towards a technology-intensive direction requires human resources who have competence and multi-skills. This is an issue that deserves attention in the development of human resources at UMS in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 with completely new competency and skill needs. The industrial revolution 4.0 is marked by the support of information technology and intelligence systems that will produce various innovations. Therefore, workers are required to have creativity (creativity), critical thinking skills (critical thinking), communicate (communication), and collaborate (collaboration), to produce these various innovations.
The rapid development of information and communication technology has triggered the acceleration of dynamic changes in various fields of people’s lives. UMS as an educational institution must be able to adapt and continue to move forward to participate in providing direction for these changes as stated in the 2029 vision, namely ‘providing the direction of change’. Therefore, lecturers and education staff at UMS must be able to work professionally in order to produce innovations and products that are beneficial to stakeholders.
This statement was emphasized again by Prof. Dr. Budi Murtiyasa, M.Kom in a virtual meeting via Zoom on Friday, January 14, 2022 with the agenda of socializing the Innovation Grant Program for Education Personnel in 2021/2022 along with the explanations. The virtual meeting which lasted approximately 2 hours was very enthusiastically welcomed by the education staff, various questions and appreciations emerged. BP-SDM UMS has given about 2 weeks for the preparation of this grant proposal, with a deadline of January 29, 2022. Later, the top 10 will receive the grant funds. This grant is not just an idea/proposal, but there are evaluations, contracts, implementation, monitoring of progress and achievements as well as accountability reports at the end of this grant program which is planned until July 2022.
