FHS UMS PKM Team Holds Community Service at Posyandu

The team for implementing PKM activities from the Nursing Science Study Program, Faculty of Health, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, which was coordinated by Dr. Fahrun Nur Rosyid, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes has carried out a PKM activity on December 16, 2021 with the theme of herbal package supplementation to support the treatment of COvid-19 with partners Posyandu Melati 3 Perum Tiara Ardi RT 03 RW 10 Purbayan Village District Baki Sukoharjo. This activity is one of the implementations of the Independent Learning Policy Research Program on an Independent Campus and Community Service Based on PTS Research results supported by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

As quoted from Infodesanews that the PKM Activity Implementation Team handed over a number of herbal packages to support Covid-19 treatment consisting of black seed oil capsules, pure honey, and VCO oil to representatives of post-covid-19 sufferers at Posyandu Melati 3 Perum Tiara Ardi RT 03 RW 10 Purbayan Village, Baki Sukoharjo District. According to the research results of Dr. Fahrun Nur Rosyid and Team, the herbal package has proven to be effective in supporting the treatment of Covid-19.

Posyandu Melati 3 Perum Tiara Ardi RT 03 RW 10 Purbayan Village is the working area of ​​the Baki Sukoharjo Health Center, so this activity cooperates with the puskesmas in terms of coaching and mentoring. The participants who attended were 15 participants as representatives of 45 post-Covid-19 patients. These 15 participants were given health services such as checking blood pressure and oxygen saturation. The average results of blood pressure measurements are above 140/90 mmHg and oxygen saturation is above 96%. In addition to health services, education and assistance are also carried out on herbal package supplementation to support the treatment of Covid-19. Alhamdulillah, this activity received a very good response from the participants.
